Today has given us another amusing chapter in the ongoing tale of Harry and Houdini, the professional escape artist birds. I woke this morning to find they'd escaped their cage for the 8th time, this time by opening the cage roof. They were sitting there looking all innocent and cute, when I noticed one of my daughter's toys in their water bowl. I turned around to look at the kitchen table where it had come from and discovered this:

They'd climbed the leg of the chair up onto the table, knocked over my flower vase, cotton buds and chewed up sunglasses, toys and fridge magnets.
They'll be going to a new home in a few days where they'll have more space and plenty to occupy them so they won't feel the need to escape and destroy things. ![]()
